[8.23.2019] Rubix Solutions <> Helium - A Collaboration to Build a Blockchain Tracking Network

Rubix Solutions and Palo Alto Blockchain startup Helium are collaborating to build the next generation tracking network for Department of Defense and Defense Contractors. Not only will this streamline the DoD’s logistics network, it will also add visibility and security into the DoD supply chain. This would effectively reduce costs, reduce risks, and combat counterfeit parts. IoT tags can cost as low as $5 USD and can last as long as 10 years depending on settings. The network will work by setting up a series of low-cost “LongFi Hubs” that communicate with IoT tags and devices. Using LongFi, IoT devices can connect to any Helium-compatible Hotspots without Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or cellular. LongFi transfers data over sub-GHz radio waves, can deliver over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates, and provides the ability to push commands to devices. These hubs run on a highly secure blockchain network and have a range of 1.5 to 5 miles depending on placement. Imagine a world where instead of trying to find assets, these assets self-reported where they have been, where they are, and where they are going.

[8.19.2019] BlockTrack Officially Announced at NPMA National Education Seminar in Washington D.C.

After several months of anticipation, the property management community was formally introduced to the BlockTrack asset management platform from Rubix Solutions. In an area with very little innovation over the years, the product was welcomed with an overwhelmingly positive response. The Director of Property Management from Stanford University was in attendance and compared this new platform to “The Amazon of DoD Asset Management”. Matt Schuerman, CEO of Rubix Solutions, had this to say: “We are looking to disrupt an industry in desperate need of new innovation. Property Managers across the U.S. are being expected to track more assets, encounter more frequent audits, and comply with more requirements than ever before. These teams cannot be expected to operate at peak performance without new technology to support their mission.” BlockTrack is a first-ever product designed from the ground up by asset management professionals in collaboration with tech experts who have worked with tech giants Uber, Google, and Oracle.
